Him: "Oh, that's a cool name. Is it Hawaiian?"
Me: "Actually, it's Greek."
Him: "Haha. Close enough...Greece and Hawaii are both islands."
Me: "Yeah, umm, no, no they're not."

Ha! There's a phoneme in your name that's not even a little Hawaiian. You'd transliterate it to "k". The rest would work.
